Distressed jeans have become a mainstay in the world of denim. From an old pair of jeans that have seen better days that you have destroyed yourself or a designer pair that is strategically cut and worn for you, most likely there is a pair or two of them in your closet. It seems this trend has evolved from small areas with do hole and fraying to current jeans with so much exposure you need to think long and hard about your legs and what you wear under your jeans before walking out of the house.

Serfontaine is not you ordinary, run of the mill brand. Mik Serfontaine, the founder, was fed up with not being able to find the perfect fitting pair of jeans so instead of uselessly searching, he went to design school where he learned all about the basic rudimentary elements and techniques of making jeans. He did not want to make the same cookie cutter styles of denim he saw on the market, he needed to learn the basics in order to break the rules and make the his brand the trendsetter in the world of denim. In 2000, along with his wife, they launched Serfontaine which was deemed “the most rock ‘n roll jeans around” almost immediately. From that point on Serfontaine has gone on to become ahead of the curve when it comes to designing denim.

Serfontaine The Vandal jeans fall in the more distressed category. These jeans have a definite vintage 80s rocker feel to them. These jeans are distressed and ripped to shreds practically but there is mesh placed behind the holes so that there is not any overexposure happening. These jeans are skinny but not too skinny that they can not be rolled or pushed up a bit. When rolled these jeans still look great due to the fact that the mesh is exposed in the bottom of the jeans and scrunching them up adds to the rocker look of them. This is a great pair of jeans to have and wear. They are a great choice for this spring, summer, and even fall. The jeans come in white with black mesh and blue with black mesh.
